Pet Insurance Covers Vet-Stem Procedures
Pet Insurance Covers Vet-Stem Procedures
Posted on 2010-04-01 06:39:17
According to a recent email I received from Vet-Stem, three of the major pet insurance companies will now be covering stem cell therapy for arthritis. Petplan, VPI Pet Insurance and PurinaCare Pet Health Insurance all indicated they would provide coverage for the latest therapy for arthritis in dogs and cats. Your specific policy should be consulted for details.
In the Vet-Stem procedure, fat is harvested from the abdomen of the pet then sent to Vet-Stem for processing. Stem cells are harvested from the fat and returned to us for injection into the affected joints.
