This list highlights plants that can cause severe clinical signs, including death, if ingested by your pet. For a more comprehensive list of toxic plants, click here
In some cases, inducing vomiting is the appropriate measure if the plant is ingested.  Hydrogen Peroxide is the best means to induce vomiting at home, so always have it on hand.  Cats should receive 1/2 tablespoon and dogs 2 tablespoons every 5 minutes until vomiting occurs. 
Inducing vomiting should only be attempted if you are certain the pet has eaten the plant within the last 2 hours.
