Training helps us provide a means to communicate with, to better understand and to build a relationship with our dogs. Dogs are social animals and therefore it would be inconsiderate and antisocial not to train them. We are asking the dog to live with us, in our environment, according to our rules. It is only fair for us to teach our dog companions these rules. A well-trained, well-socialized dog is a joy to live with. In order for a dog to become a well-behaved and enjoyable family pet, he must be trained.

All classes are $99.50 for a six week session and you may register at our front desk. We require payment at the time of scheduling to confirm your registration.  All pets attending the class must have proof of current vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella.

We offer the following classes in our on-site training room:

Puppy 101
For the puppy 10 - 18 weeks of age

Puppies are introduced to walking on a leash, sit, down, stay, come and leave it. The class is designed to help with socializing, housetraining, chewing, barking, biting and other behavioral concerns you may have.

Adult 101
For the dog 4 months and older that has not had Puppy 101 or any other obedience class.

This class is designed to lay a sound foundation in the basic obedience skills that will help in developing a well behaved family companion. You will develop an understanding of how your dog learns and discover how to communicate in a way your companion understands. We will work on why it is important to be your dog's leader and how to become that leader in a non-confrontational way -- respect vs. fear. Specific learnings will be heel, sit and sit stay, down and down stay, come, leave it, and watch.

Adult 202
For the dog who has completed the Puppy or Adult 101 class and is heeling nicely on a leash, able to do a sit/stay and down/stay and understands the word "come" (Adult 101 would be better for the young dog or puppy that might need more work with these behaviors.)

This is a more advanced class designed to build on and reinforce the learnings of Puppy 101 and Adult 101. Stand/stay or stand for examination, Finish on recall and come off leash will be presented.
